Stones is from Giulio Musi, the same writer-director of Echoes. Here he covers another incredibly dramatic situation with two opposing soldiers stuck together in a civil war in Bosnia during 1992.

The short reminded me too much of the 2001 film No Man’s Land that has a similar scenario where soldiers are forced to talk instead of kill each other. Their dialog and performances are fine, but never sparks. It’s well produced, but there could have been more tension between them since so much is at stake.
