“Kate” (available in select theaters and to stream on Netflix beginning Friday, Sept. 10) is reminiscent of plenty of other female-led action flicks that have dropped of late – “Black Widow” (the best of the bunch IMHO), “Gunpowder Milkshake,” “Jolt,” “The Protégé” and “Yakuza Princess” (which I reviewed here last week). There are two primary reasons to watch “Kate” – they’re star Mary Elizabeth Winstead (doing a riff on her Huntress character from “Birds of Prey”) and an assortment of admittedly pretty kick-ass action set pieces.
